About Evergreen Acres
Evergreen Acres as we call it is a 5 acre parcel located about 3 miles East of Lapeer,
a small town in the thumb area of lower Michigan. It is located on a highway that once was
one of the main routes connecting Michigan with Ontario, Canada at the Port Huron-Sarnia
border crossing. Evergreen Acres is a fully developed, landscaped parcel that contains an
apartment complex, RV park, and a gift shop. The gift shop within the main residence which
is the focal point of Evergreen Acres since it is centrally located within the parcel. The
gift shop is where rent for both the apartments and RV park are collected. |

| Our Grounds The grounds at Evergreen Acres are
locally known for their beautiful landscaping because of efforts put forth by the property
owners. There are numerous flower beds and effort has been put into supporting the
flourishing wildlife within the grounds. Squirrels, rabbits, and birds of all species can
be seen at the various feeding sites throughout the property which is adorned with
numerous blue spruce, ash, pine and maple trees. These trees are the primary reason why
the owners chose the name Evergreen Acres. The entire 5 acres is covered with lawn,
including all RV sites, and the weekly lawn maintenance alone takes at least 8 hours to
complete. Ardy, the head groundskeeper and one of the property owners can be seen on her
Cub Cadet tractor mowing the lawn. The flower beds require a great deal of
maintenance so as to present the appearance that the neighborhood has become so accustomed
to. At least once daily Ardy is about the business of weeding and preening the flower beds
while during the remainder of the day she is the saleslady seen in the gift shop selling
the gold and diamonds. A day does not pass without a few compliments going to Ardy, an all
around person that would be impossible to replace.
