1972 Plymouth Satellite Sebring Plus
Here is my '72 Plymouth. This car is in the process of full restoration/restification. I love MOPARs, nothing else compares as far as raw power and wild options and colors. I wanted to build a MOPAR since high school but could never find one in good enough shape and for a fair enough price. I knew I wanted a B-Body and it had to be a big block car. After seven years of following dead ends and looking at junk I had almost given up on finding one. Then I get a phone call at work, it's my wife and she is very excited. She tells me she found the car I'm looking for. It's supposed to be a '72 Road Runner with a 440 and low mileage, that's been in storage for the last 10 or so years. The kicker is that the car is located not even five minutes from my house. I was a little skeptical at first, because I thought I knew the location of every car in the area, but I got the number to the guy and gave him a call that evening after work. Turned out the car was a Satellite Sebring Plus, (the same body style just a different trim level.) The car had been in storage for most of the last twenty years of its life, the odometer showing just a little over 20,000 original miles. The body is 98% rust free and over all straight body. The story I got was the car was bought new and turned into a street racer and served as such until being put into storage.
The plan for this car is to rebuild/replace every part on the car to make it better than when new. The drive line will be a 440 with a MP purple cam, Aero heads, 6-pak setup, headers, and back it all up with a manual valve bodied 727 and a 3.23 sure grip out back. The body will remain stock except for the addition of a '72 Road Runner "Call out" hood, and the car will be bathed in Panter Pink paint.
