PCPI has been recognized by American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) as the basic training centre in Hong Kong and was approved to issue ASHI's various kinds of first aid certificates. ASHI is a professional safety and health educators providing nationally recognized training programs through more than 4000 approved Training Centers across the United States and in several foreign countries.

ASHI's mission is “to continually improve safety and health education by promoting; high standards for members, principals of sound research for curriculum development and the professional development of safety and health instructors worldwide”. It provides training ranging from basic first aid skills to advanced cardiac life support courses.
