Walkway in Bloom

Front Entrance to Utah House

Pictured above is the front entrance to our house in Utah. The design is several years old. The plants cover the walk. When visitors enter, they brush against the lavender and sage. It releases a nice smell (and bees). The tri-color sage at the fence turned out to be an excellent choice. It looked good most of the year, easily recovered from trimming it back, and stood up well and survived neighborhood dogs marking their territory. These herbs were used for ornamentals only and they weren't used for cooking!

Red Azaleas

Blooming Red Azalea

Jim and Elizabeth love gardening. However, they don't have the space or time they wish they did for green thumb activities. The image above shows how they like the use of leaf shapes and colors to provide interest. This planting of yucca, azalea, hosta, and barberry look good even in winter. The colors also go well with their brown house.
