Demonstrating Spinning Wheel at an Elementary School

Elizabeth has a traveling spinning and weaving road show. Here she is shown demonstrating at the Ohio State Centennial Celebration held by Greene Elementary School in Gallipolis, Ohio. The school is across the river from where we live. She was contacted to participate through connections made at the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina. The tall wheel on the left of the image is a New York walking wheel and the one being examined by a student is her Canadian wheel.

One of the benefits of volunteering is that we get to eat lunch in the school cafateria with the children--for free!
