Family Library Link - has a mobile library van with books suitable for under five's and their parents/carers. They visit groups in the SRB3 area of the city, loaning books to groups and families, telling stories and encouraging parents to read with their children. They also visit 5 baby clinics in the area, promoting books and reading stories, and administer the Bookstart scheme across the city.

Portsmouth Under Eight's Forum (PUEF): facilitate the exchange of information and support those working in Portsmouth with children under 8 years of age.

Homestart: is a voluntary organisation offering support, friendship and practical help to families with pre-school children in their own homes.

Homecheck - is a service provided by Portsmouth City Council aimed at familes/lone parents with children under 5 years of age, the disabled, and the over 60's. They visit homes of the families above (at the client or Health Visitors request) and carry out free safety checks. They provide the following items (free of charge):
Fridge/freezer locks,
Cupboard locks,
Socket covers,
bath mats,
as well as give safety advice.
On referral from Health Visitors they can also provide stair gates and/or fireguards for which there is a £5 charge for both items.

Connors Toy Library: provides a Toy Library Service for all children under 5 years of age and also for those with special needs, up to 19 years of age, in the city of Portsmouth.

Replay Charity: is a community resource unit which exists to provide and support young peoples groups, and children's groups and will also hire to adult groups when resources allow. Replay has three minibuses to hire, a goods van and various inflatable and play equipment. They are also the provider of a summer camp holiday available to childrens groups which include those with special needs. Membership applies to all groups. Replay is also the provier of open access summer playschemes for 0-8 year olds in the Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

VOICES: Giving scope to parents and children. VOICES offers support and friendship through neighbourhoodgroups based in accessible, local venues. Children enjoy a safe and stimulating creche. Social events and outings are also organised.

The E C Roberts Centre: is a community resource supporting families in Portsmouth who are striving to improve their families disadvantaged circumstances, whether through homelessness or relationship difficulties. The centre offers kitchen and subsidised laundry. Projects run at the centre include:

The Brook Club Youth Centre: has the following clubs for various ages - Junior Club - Tuesday (young women) and Thursday (young men) 5pm - 6.30pm, and Senior Club Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 7pm - 9.30pm. Sex Sense Wednesday 3pm - 5pm, Young Peoples group Wednesday 5pm - 7pm.
