Blue Key Anniversary
The 60th
anniversary of the prestigious Blue Key Society will be
celebrated June 13 with a reunion of Blue Key members,
special entertainment and food. Mark this date in your
calendar and plan to join the festivities.
Students who
participate fully in middle school band activities are
eligible to join the Blue Key Society. Members have
been added every year since 1944.
Volunteers to
serve on the anniversary planning committees are

Association Purchases Instruments
Thanks to a
successful fall fundraiser, the Port Chester Middle
School Band Association has been able to make a
$5,000 donation to the district
for the purchase of instruments.
The students
and parents who sold holiday items raised $8,367.80,
half of which goes into the coffers of the association.
The money donated to the district enables all band
students to have instruments available to them for
instruction, practice and performance.
The holiday
raffle raised nearly $1,300, thanks to the support of
students, parents and friends.
Thanks, Verizon – and Sandy
The
Verizon
Foundation has donated $500 in matching funds to the
Port Chester Band Association.
The funds match
the over 50 hours Verizon employee Sandy Guarino has
contributed to the Band Association as a parent and vice
president of the board of directors.

for his tireless efforts on behalf of the middle
school's music program and its students.
