William Perry: A Sandwich is "the king of the free world," according to the New York Times. His earlier work brought the most notable pop-cultural sounds of the 1980's back to the forefront in sound collages that were sometimes abrasive, sometimes whimsical, and always experimental. By the time his debut LP "A Half Tank of Gas. Two Polaroids of Baio. The Glory." came out on May 18, 2002, however, we were confronted with a different side to the man. As his craft developed and progressed, it seemed, the 1980s played less and less of a role in his work, while he maintained the abrasive experimentation that has come to be his trademark. William himself is a hermit-like man, but his mystery and personality are somewhat uncovered within his music, which has been described as "a window into his soul" by his mother, Big Momma Perry. His second full-length, a concept record entitled "Pinky Infection", sees William delving further into unadorned noise experimentation, the sampled quotes all but gone. "Pinky Infection" is also notable in that it stands as the first Slaboron release.
