(defunct) Riot Gear holds a preeminent place within Porkslab history and are legends of the local music community. This compton duo built a name for themselves by producing homemade, lo-fi albums of hilarious narratives and a personality all their own. But behind these humorous ponderings and hypothetical stories lied a deceptively strong pop structure and sensibility. Fuzzy guitars combined with drum machines and swirling keyboards to create a sonic gulash that could be enjoyed as an offering of music and/or comedy. Put your rollies in the air, indeed. This is the epitome of Porkslab Records.
