(defunct) While they never officially disbanded, and a reunion show could pop up at any time, enough time has passed at this point to declare LATB over and done with. Which is sad, as they were unquestionably the most talented and successful band on the Porkslab roster - and judging from the unreleased material they were working on at the end of their run, they were only getting better. This power trio called back to the shores of Hawaii, during an age of psychedelic drugs and ladies in both arms. Their style, affectionately dubbed "Surfcore" by Rolling Stone, was a kaleidoscopic blend of genres. The Associated Press had this to say: "Picture yourself at an energized luau while listening to Roy Orbison if he was hardcore. It's all mai-tais and coastlines with bombast. Their effect is essentially the Beach Boys meets KISS." Louie and the Barracudas was a Porkslab benchmark band. Long live Louie!
