For a Martyr and a Girl is a band that becomes somewhat difficult to categorize. His 2002 debut LP, "Stupid Songs" was a varied effort that saw prestine power pop combined with orchestrated ballads with trip hop beats, with barnstorming rockers with drum machines. It was, to say the least, hard to comprehensively label. The follow-up to "Stupid Songs" has been three years in the making now, and has taken on many different forms and titles. While the final manifestion remains to be seen, he has in fact begun his final recording sessions. He has also been busy recording a number of split full-lengths with Paperback Throne and has begun erecting the multi-media empire that is DDCMusic.
