Over the past several years, new studies have suggested
that we have over-vaccinated our dogs in the past. |

The following chart outlines the changes, as well as the
recommendations that you should follow regarding |

your dog's vaccination schedule (those highlighted in red

These new protocols will provide the
same protection, but with much less risk of adverse reactions. Note:
If you take your dog to a dog park, kennel, obedience training classes
or your dog comes in contact with other dogs on a regular basis, it is also
recommended that you have your dog vaccinated annually for Bordetella (Kennel
Cough). Although the Bordetella vaccine only covers two variations of kennel
cough and is no guarantee against your dog getting it, it should be
considered when your dog is around other animals. In addition to the above, your dog/puppy should be dewormed as
a puppy and again annually if they are in contact with other dogs on a
regular basis. |
