*** PRICE RESIDENCE - 8:35 PM *** |
|
| Greg pulls up in his car outside the large, impressively modern house. He turns the ignition off and looks across at the letterbox, which is covered with bright red balloons. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Now remember what we said, Polly. I want you to behave and do exactly what the adults tell you at this party, okay? |
| Polly looks slightly suspicious. | |
| Polly Page: | But there'll be other kids here, won't there? |
| Greg nods his head. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Lots of kids. You'll make heaps of new friends tonight. Now, the first thing I'll do is introduce you to the man in charge of this party. His name is Mr Price and I want you to be polite to him, yeah? |
| Polly nods slowly, remaining quiet. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Good. Let's go in. |
| Polly nods, following him towards the front door. Greg knocks three times, twice fast then once slowly, on the door. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Behave, remember. |
| Andrew comes quickly to the door, opening it with a smile. He looks from Greg down to Polly. | |
| Andrew Price: | Ah, Mr Matthews? And this must be Polly? Hi, angel! |
| Polly looks up suspiciously at the stranger. | |
| Polly Page: | Hello. |
| Greg nods his head and replies gruffly. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Hi Andy. She's a real eager beaver. Have many other kids arrived yet? |
| Greg stands back as Andrew opens the door and lets Polly and Greg inside. They walk along a narrow hallway and emerge into a wide, airy room, packed full of people. Children are playing together in one corner and adults are mingling in another. The sound of conversation and the smell of food fill the air. | |
| Polly Page: | What's going on? |
| Polly looks strangely up at Greg, who looks around the room curiously. | |
| Polly Page: | Greg? |
| Greg Matthews: | This is the party, Polly. Just relax. Why don't you go over there and see if you can make some nice new friends while I talk with the man here? |
| Polly nods slowly, before tentatively heading over to the group of children. Greg turns to face Andrew. | |
| Greg Matthews: | This is my first big party. We've done small stuff with two or three punters at a time before but never anything like this... |
| Andrew hands him a drink and smiles reassuringly. | |
| Andrew Price: | Don't worry about it. It's all very laid back and relaxed. Most of these kids have been around for awhile. They'll soon show her the ropes. Then maybe we'll see about lining you up some regular work. |
| Greg nods slowly. | |
| Greg Matthews: | How regular? I don't want Polly exhausted, it's hard enough hiding this from my wife as it is. |
| Andrew raises his hands calmly. | |
| Andrew Price: | Keep ya hair on, I just mean we can add her to our list of contacts, depending on how tonight goes, of course. It's up to you whether she goes part-time or full and what days and hours. |
| Greg Matthews: | So I get full control over her? What would she be expected to do? |
| Andrew Price: | Well, it's al up to you. There are different rates for different types of clients. The more you'll let her do, the more you'll be paid. It'll all be explained later on, but basically we take twenty percent. Out of this, you'll get these regular events, secure work, complete confidentiality and we'll set you up with a mobile phone to help separate business from personal. Feel free to have a talk with some of the other members. And if you've any other children, membership decreases and if they are willing to work together, that too will increase their rates. |
| Greg looks slightly stunned by the wealth of information. | |
| Greg Matthews: | This is very well organised, Andy, Who's brainchild was this? |
| Andrew smirks proudly. | |
| Andrew Price: | Mine, mainly. Got talking with a few mates who'd been in the same industry. We were all sick of unreliable work, never knowing if a new client was an undercover cop or something and basically we wanted the kids to get together. Not just that, we'd noticed that because of their interests, they were becoming isolated from other children and it was starting to show. We thought if we encouraged them to socialise now and then, even had them working in groups sometimes, they'd feel more normal and at home with the whole idea. It seems to have worked brilliantly too. |
| Greg grins and sips his drink. | |
| Greg Matthews: | I have a few cops as clients, they are great because they'll never squeal. Have you ever come close to being caught? |
| Andrew screws up his face slightly. | |
| Andrew Price: | Keep talking like that and I'll be checking you for a wire. |
| Andrew grins before continuing. | |
| Andrew Price: | Not really. That's why we thoroughly investigate all our clients. People are referred to us or hear about us and before we actually do business or make any arrangements we do complete security checks. Home, work, income, car registration. You name it. The punters are happy because they know the kids are clean and that they'll never get caught. We're happy because there are no hidden surprises and the kids are happy because they are treated very well and paid accordingly. |
| Greg Matthews: | Excellent. This is a great business idea. Shame we can't register as a company! |
| Greg looks across the room at Polly sitting by herself on the floor. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Small problem. Polly doesn't seem to be making any friends. |
| Andrew frowns as he observes the little girl. | |
| Andrew Price: | Hmm, you've a point there. She not the sociable type then? |
| Greg Matthews: | She usually is but she's been a bit down recently. Dunno why, she's usually quite eager once she's warmed up. |
| Andrew nods with a smile. | |
| Andrew Price: | Well, she is a beautiful little thing ain't she. Just a bit miserable looking. How old is she? |
| Greg Matthews: | She's eleven. But she can act sixteen. She can also act six if she puts her mind to it. |
| Andrew nods thoughtfully. | |
| Andrew Price: | Maybe try and phase out the sixteen part. Our clients come to us specifically because they can get the sixteen-year-old thing on the streets far too easily. Work on the six-year-old routine though. With some nice pigtails and a pink dress she could really look the part. |
| Greg considers this. | |
| Greg Matthews: | I see. So your clients are mainly interested in youth? It's a shame she's not a virgin anymore but I took care of that a long time ago, if you know what I mean. |
| Greg winks. Andrew scoffs slightly. | |
| Andrew Price: | That's not an issue. We tend not to encourage the amateur sort, too risky. The younger ones don't handle it as well anyway. We refuse to accept girls under the age of ten, boys under the age of eight. That's the rules. |
| Greg smiles and puts his empty glass down on a nearby table. | |
| Greg Matthews: | You have everything planned out! I have to say that I'm very impressed by your organisation, Andy. How many members do you have, out of interest? |
| Andrew passes the tall dark man a fresh drink. | |
| Andrew Price: | We have approximately twenty children, more girls than boys. Usually they are with a parent or parental figure. Sometimes both the mother and father. As for clients, we have a little under a hundred, with about sixty of them as permanent regulars. |
| Greg starts on his second drink. | |
| Greg Matthews: | I see. Are you looking for more boys? |
| Andrew considers the question, clearing his throat. | |
| Andrew Price: | I suppose so. We're always on the lookout for new additions. You have a son I take it? |
| Greg nods slowly. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Well, a stepson. I hadn't even thought about it before this evening but seeing this... |
| Greg looks around at the large numbers of little girls and boys happily playing. | |
| Greg Matthews: | It's given me ideas. |
| Andrew Price: | Well it's entirely up to you of course, but if you get the right client, they'll pay more for boys. But I'd leave it for awhile. See how Polly goes. |
| Greg Matthews: | You think she has potential? |
| Andrew Price: | Well, I've not seen her in action, have I? But going by appearances she's something special. Especially that nice naive innocence about her. Lots of the young girls become far too streetwise. Ruins the effect. |
| Greg looks across at Polly again, still sitting there by herself. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Maybe, but I thought she was supposed to be making friends? The other kids don't seem to be that friendly. |
| Andrew nods slowly. | |
| Andrew Price: | They'll come around. They're just being cautious of the new one. They'll all very close, so it just takes a bit for them to accept a new one. |
| Polly looks up as the two children nearby continue whispering to themselves. | |
| Polly Page: | You two fink I can't hear ya, or what? |
| Donna looks up guiltily. | |
| Donna Harris: | We were just talking about whether or not we should come over and say hello. |
| Samuel and Donna shuffle over to Polly and size her up. | |
| Polly Page: | Well you've obviously decided to. What's your name? |
| Donna Harris: | I'm Donna, Donna Harris. I like to collect stuff. |
| Polly nods slowly. | |
| Polly Page: | I'm Polly Page. What sorta stuff? |
| Donna Harris: | Rocks, seashells, balloons. Anything really. |
| Polly narrows her eyes, looking slightly confused. | |
| Polly Page: | So? |
| Samuel holds out his hand stiffly, interrupting. | |
| Samuel Harker: | I'm Samuel, Samuel Harker. You're pretty. |
| Polly Page: | Fanks. |
| Polly smiles softly. Samuel reaches out and shakes Polly's hand for rather longer than he has to. | |
| Donna Harris: | Cut it out, Sam. She's not that pretty! |
| Donna shakes her long blonde hair back and winks at Sam coyly. Samuel lets go of Polly's hand and steps back. The children fall silent. | |
| Samuel Harker: | So what do you like doing, Polly? |
| Polly shrugs. | |
| Polly Page: | I dunno, I have a cute little puppy dog. I like playing with her. |
| Donna Harris: | I have a little puppy! His name's Reg. What's yours called? |
| Donna is starting to warm towards Polly. | |
| Polly Page: | Bella. She's golden and she follows me around everywhere. What type is Reg? |
| Donna Harris: | He's a pure-bred greyhound. We use him for breeding. |
| Samuel Harker: | Do you have any other pets? |
| Polly shakes her head with a frown. | |
| Polly Page: | I think my stupid little brother has cockroaches under his bed though. |
| Samuel grins. | |
| Samuel Harker: | I have lots of cockroaches round my place. You'll have to come visit sometime. |
| Polly screws up her face stepping closer to Donna. | |
| Polly Page: | No way, they're gross! |
| Donna Harris: | Agreed! Just like most boys are gross. |
| Donna wraps her arm around Polly's waist. Polly smirks at Samuel. | |
| Polly Page: | Thank-you very much, Donna! |
| Donna Harris: | What games do you like to play Polly? We have a monopoly set here if you like. |
| Polly shrugs. | |
| Polly Page: | If you want. I don't really care. |
| Samuel Harker: | Well it's over here. |
| Samuel escorts the two girls towards the set but is interrupted by a loud voice. Andrew smiles down at the children. | |
| Andrew Price: | Ah, I see you're making Polly feel at home. That's good. Donna why don't you go and get some fruit punch? Enjoy yourselves a bit, okay? |
| Donna nods obediently. | |
| Donna Harris: | So we're having the magic punch again, Andy? |
| Andrew winks affectionately at the little girl. | |
| Andrew Price: | Sure thing, just for you Donna! |
| Donna grins cheekily up at Andrew and takes Polly's hand. | |
| Donna Harris: | Come on Polly, you'll love this! It makes you feel really funny inside. |
| Donna and Polly dash over to the punch bowl with Sam Harker following close behind. They take paper cups and dip them into the bowl so that they each have a cup of the fruity punch. Donna sniffs at her cup. | |
| Donna Harris: | Yes, this is the magic punch. You can tell by the way it smells. |
| Samuel Harker: | It's really yummy, Polly. And it helps later on when we have to perform. |
| Samuel and Donna eagerly sip on their drinks. | |
| Polly Page: | What is it? |
| Polly sniffs the punch suspiciously. | |
| Donna Harris: | It's magic punch. One cup of it and you'll start to feel really dreamy inside. |
| Samuel Harker: | Try it! I'm going back for another cup. |
| Samuel wanders back over to the punch bowl. Polly screws up her nose taking a small sip. | |
| Polly Page: | Yuck, it's gross! How can you drink this stuff? |
| Donna shrugs. | |
| Donna Harris: | It's not that bad. You get used to the taste. Drink up, you feel really cool when you've drunk it all. |
| Polly takes another sip, watching as Donna finishes her cup. Samuel returns to the little group with a new cup of punch for himself as well as another one for Donna. | |
| Polly Page: | What happens later on anyway? |
| Samuel winks at Donna. | |
| Samuel Harker: | We get to put on a little show! |
| Polly looks momentarily excited, before she lowers her tone warily. | |
| Polly Page: | Whatcha mean? |
| Donna tries to explain. | |
| Donna Harris: | We get to put on a show for the adults. It's a lot of fun, you'll see when we start. Sometimes we get to dress up in costumes and we take on roles, but it'll be more of a normal one tonight. Haven't you ever been to one of these before? |
| Polly shakes her head, her guard dropping. Donna smiles across at Sam. | |
| Polly Page: | Nope. Well, I've done talent shows with me cousins and stuff. And when I was younger me and me brother used to do plays and dances, Kinda like that? |
| Donna Harris: | Sure. It's okay if you've only done this sort of thing with your brother and cousins before... We can make you the star of the show this time if you like! |
| Polly smiles nervously. | |
| Polly Page: | Well, maybe I'd better not. Just until I see how you guys do it and all. Perhaps next time? |
| Donna laughs. | |
| Donna Harris: | Don't be silly, it's why we're all here. It's great fun once you get started. Just follow our lead, it comes to you really naturally after a while. |
| Polly nods, slightly more confidently. | |
| Samuel Harker: | Yeah, and they give you sweets afterwards if you do especially well. |
| Polly Page: | If you say so. |
| Andrew watches the kids talking and drinking and nods towards Greg. | |
| Andrew Price: | See? They're getting along fine. Don't worry about it. |
| Greg Matthews: | Great, I knew there was nothing for me to worry about. What happens now? I mean, watching them all play like this is cute but it's not why I came here. |
| Andrew Price: | I know, just have another drink and relax a bit. It'll all be worth it. |
| Andrew hands Greg another red wine and himself another beer and they continue making idle conversation until he notices Sam starting to look slightly woozy. Tapping his glass lightly he quietens the others in the room, announcing that the entertainment will now begin. Greg follows his lead as the adults quickly finish their drinks and begin moving chairs and tables, placing them against the walls so as to create an empty space in the middle of the room. Donna, being the most experienced, sees her cue and gathers the other children together, quickly finalising their plans before strutting into the centre of the room. She pulls a slightly bewildered Polly behind her, whispering quietly for her to just follow her lead. | |
| Samuel Harker: | It's okay, the first thing you have to do is take off your shirt. |
| Samuel takes off his shirt and turns to face Polly. | |
| Donna Harris: | Yeah, stand in front of us and take off your shirt. Watch me, this is how you do it. |
| Polly looks very hesitant, nevertheless seeing the other children stripping off, she follows suit. Donna slips off her shirt seductively and winks at Andy as she slides out of her clothes. After several moments, the children are all in their underwear. | |
| Donna Harris: | Polly, this is where we split up into groups. You'll be with Sam and me. |
| Polly nods quickly, standing closer to Donna. Samuel comes up behind Polly and encircles her small body with his arms. Polly steps away with a small gasp. Her voice is an insistent whisper. | |
| Polly Page: | What are you doing? |
| Samuel Harker: | You're really young and cute! Let me take this off... |
| Samuel carefully unclips Polly's bra and gently slips it off. Donna has already undone her bra and she faces Polly too. She is very well endowed for her age. Polly quickly scans the room, noticing that most of the other children have removed portions of their underclothes. She resists Sam's closeness. | |
| Donna Harris: | We have to get naked, Polly. You want to take your knickers off? |
| Polly Page: | Oi, just cut it out the pair of you, I'm not up for this! |
| Donna Harris: | Just relax! It feels a bit odd at first but after a while it's a lot of fun. |
| Donna slides off her knickers. Samuel has a small erection, which is visible through his underpants. He reaches down and pulls his underpants off. | |
| Samuel Harker: | I'm going to enjoy this, Polly! |
| Polly cringes, still glancing at the other children. | |
| Polly Page: | I don't think this is such a great idea. Do we have to? |
| Donna nods slowly as she approaches Polly. | |
| Donna Harris: | Just sit back and relax. It's what your Dad wants you to do. Have a look at him over there! |
| Donna nods over at Greg. He is frowning at Polly and gesturing for her to get on with it. Polly looks back towards the to kids, shrugging lightly. She is not at all impressed with the activities taking place. | |
| Polly Page: | If you say so.. |
| Donna Harris: | I do. |
| Donna steps forward and slips her tongue into Polly's mouth. She lightly brushes it over Polly's teeth. Samuel slides his hands down Polly's body and hooks his thumbs into her underpants. He gently pulls them down to her ankles and Polly steps out of them reluctantly. | |
| Samuel Harker: | We're going to have a lot of fun, Polly. I can feel it. |
| Samuel slides his erection between Polly's legs, moving up and down in a steady motion. Donna continues to pash Polly, her breasts rubbing against Polly's chest. Polly squirms, pulling away from the two children with a disgusted shriek. She reaches quickly for her underwear and starts to redress. | |
| Polly Page: | I'm so not doing this! This is sick! |
| Samuel pursues Polly and pulls her away from her clothing. | |
| Donna Harris: | Would you stop this! You're ruining it for everyone! |
| Donna is getting cross. She walks up to Polly again and starts rubbing her small body against Polly as their lips meet again. Samuel holds Polly steady as Donna's hands creep down Polly's body. Polly pulls away again, grabbing back her clothing. Donna's co-ordination is not what it should be. | |
| Polly Page: | I said stop it! I don't want nothing to do with all this! |
| Donna and Sam are puzzled and Andrew is getting angry. He turns to face Greg. | |
| Andrew Price: | What's up with your kid? I thought you said she was experienced! |
| Greg Matthews: | She is. I dunno why she's playing up. |
| Greg shouts at Polly. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Would you stop it? They're your own age, you stupid cow! |
| Polly angrily begins redressing, crossing the room furiously to Greg. | |
| Polly Page: | I wanna go home! |
| Greg glares at his stepdaughter. | |
| Greg Matthews: | Go back there and get back with those kids or you'll be sorry you were ever born, Polly! |
| Polly looks at him coldly, bordering on tears. | |
| Polly Page: | I already am! Take me home, now! |
| Polly stamps her right foot angrily. | |
| Greg Matthews: | No! Take your clothes off! |
| Donna calls out to Polly. | |
| Donna Harris: | Come on! It's a lot of fun, really. Just come back here. |
| Polly crosses her arms, her vocal tone one of pure determination. She states crisply. | |
| Polly Page: | Take me home. |
| Greg glances across at the angry faces of the other adults in the room, especially Andrew's. | |
| Greg Matthews: | No! Don't make me force you to do this, Polly! |
| Polly raises her voice, throwing a very convincing tantrum. | |
| Polly Page: | I wanna go home! Now! I hate this! It's sick! Take me home! |
| Greg is getting angry. He shouts at Polly. | |
| Greg Matthews: | You'll do as you're told! You're a slut and you know it... So act like one! |
| Polly increases her whining, her voice near a scream. | |
| Polly Page: | Take me home this minute! I'm not doing any of this stuff. Take me home, take me home! |
| Greg puts his hands over his ears to drone out Polly's shrill screams. Several other adults do likewise. Andrew shakes his head, his voice extremely frustrated. | |
| Andrew Price: | Oh don't bother, Greg. They're no fun when they won't co-operate. Take the little brat home and don't bring her back until she's feeling more comfortable with the idea. |
| Andrew scoffs slightly as Greg pushes Polly towards the door. | |
| Andrew Price: | Get back in touch when you've sorted out who's wearing the pants in the family, right? |
| Andrew smirks as there is a roar of laughter. Greg and Polly leave the house in complete silence. | |
