The Police Scouter Group of South Australia is an Activity Section attatched to the South Australian Branch of Scouts Australia.
The Group is made up of serving Police Officers who are members of the Scout and Guide Associations along with the help of various warranted Leaders within the Associations.
Providing security at Scout and Guide events is our main committment to the Associations. This could be in the form of a singular night activity requiring some traffic control and general perimeter walking to a major 10 day Jamboree with 15,000, 11 to 15 year olds, requiring not only traffic management but checking people on and off site, lost and found, general security, public relations and fun. These events are not only in this state but happen all over Australia.
Our skill and experiance base help us provide a highly trained team to handle most all situations. With members who are trained in Hostage Negotiation, Communications, Search and Rescue, Underwater Search and Recovery, Public Affairs and Youth Affairs at State as well as Federal Level.
We have monthly meetings held at the Police Club in the city, with a meal before for those who wish to catch up some more. We have a Hut up at the Scout Campsite, Woodhouse, where we store our equipment and hold BBQ lunches.
