Minutes of Meeting held Monday 8 October 2001.
at Police Club.
Open: Vice President, Dirk Sluiter
opened the meeting at 1945 hours.
Present: Bryan Caddy, Barb Lowcock, Tony Luff,
Dirk Sluiter, Rose Maguire, Eileen Dunstan, Nicki Hann, Dot Sluiter, Mavis
Alderton, Gerry Carr, Rob Donnelly and visitor, Pet Lowcock.
Apologies: George and Lyn Sibenaler, Andy Cameron,
Nils Uellendahl, Brett Grant, Pam Taunton, Dawn Gregor, Helen Collins, Alex
Glover, Paul Dickson, Mel Easton.
Minutes of Previous Meetings:
September
10, taken as read by Members. Moved,
Tony and Seconded, Barb that they be accepted. Carried.
Business Arising from previous minutes:
1) Federation Cub Camps. Incident at Barmera Camp where cub walked away from the Camp
intending to walk home to Renmark.
Eventually Police were called, who conveyed him home. Port Augusta, unable to attend. Naracoorte, unknown if any incidents.
2) SandBlast.
Incident of items including generator and wallets being stolen, but no
further details known.
3) Tramping Trappers, No major problems. Bryan, Tony, Gerry, Dirk and James
attended. Exiting traffic on Sunday did
not present any problems.
Treasurers Report:
As
of 15 September 01, S1 account, $771.65.

reminds members that outstanding fees ($5) are now due.

1)
Letter from Gang Show
(Jean Phillips) advising that they will not have use of Torrens Parade ground
this year, however they still request our attendance at the Show for security
purposes. See dates and list below.
General Business:
1) Police Scouter Group now comes under the umbrella of
'Adventurous Activities' with Bruce James Martin as Commissioner.
2) There is a proposed get-together of Aust Police
Scouters in N.S.W. in 2002. Bryan to get further details. Several members expressed interest in
attending.
3) Investitures.
Several members to be invested into Police Scouter Group. Proposed that we do this at the December 10th
meeting with an alternate venue to be found.
Suggested everyone bring eats/drinks.

Late announcement. Barb Donnelly has
offered the use of Hayhurst Guide Hall, cnr Daly Street and Cross Tce, Kurralta
Park. More details next meeting.

October 9th to 13th Gang Show.
Security required around the Scott Theatre, Kintore Ave, Adelaide. Tues-Bryan, Wed-nil, Thurs-Tony, Dirk,
Fri-Gerry, Tony and Sat-Barb, Dirk.
October 27 & 28th . "OXFAM Community Aid Abroad"
Trail Walk. Walkers are hiking from
Cudlee Creek to Kuipto and passing through Woodhouse.
Eileen,
Mavis, Gerry, Tony may be able to attend for the weekend. Rose, Bryan, Barb, Nicki, to attend on one
day or other.

will get further details of this and contact those members who have indicated
they will attend. Any others who can
help, please contact Bryan.
Radios
to be ordered.(Bryan) Need own accommodation and food.
This
weekend will also be used as a working bee at the Hut while not doing traffic
control.
Bryan
to enquire with Hire firm to get use of light truck to transport 30 sleepers to
Woodhouse for use at the Hut.
