 Torched Turkey Award HELP! I've fallen & can't get up. Night has fallen & the quiet hush of disappointment rears it's ugly head at some. The bigger they are, the harder they fall. Nothing could be closer to the truth here in the FFL. Just when you think a team has total dominance, along comes another who takes that away. Chico's Bail Bonds took over the lead in Total Points mid-way through the season & never relinquished it. When the final gun sounded, they had won but left behind one thing. The Head to Head title. A 50-40 loos in the title game to the Slyders might have been averted with Corey Dillon & his 15 pts. in their lineup. Nate Kaeding also had 11 pts. on the sidelines. The Slyders gaveth & the Slyders tooketh away. There sure was an opportunity to see a repeat for all three crowns in the league. The Slyders fell short in TP's but did retain their H to H title. TD's Unlimited made a great run to retain their TOTY title but fell 13 pts. short of the Chihuahuas. The TD's , who were in sixth place after Week 11, fell to 15th at the end. Not having changed their lineup since Week 6 & with Donovan McNabb out for the last half of the season, they missed out on 114 pts. from Vince Young in the last six weeks to make them a contender for their title. |
