Tons of Pokemon news!-Tuesday, December 18, 2001
|
First of all, there is going to be a new Pokemon 2 hour special with new characters. Not any new pokemon, but it's about a whole new pokemon trainer. It is scheduled to appear in Japan on December 30th. The story will be about the characters in Pokemon Crystal; the boy and the girl pokemon trainers will be the stars of the show and they will battle against a new team rocket. It will probably come overseas to America and other places in 2002.
In other news, the Pokemon Movie #4 came out in Japan on VHS and DVD. It still hasn't appeared in America! Where's that Pokemon 4 movie!? And in case you forgot, watch the special "Mewto Returns" video, which is in stores around the U.S. We don't know when the movie #4 will come out. Check the poster of it:

A Pokemon Center in New York?- Sunday, November 4, 2001
|
According to The Pokemasters (pokemasters.com), Pokemon Inc. of U.S.A, is opening a Pokemon Center, "Pokemon Center" in New York. It will be a two-story, 13,000 square foot building that will be located at 10 Rockefeller Center, New York, New York on November 15.
The store will feature thousands of products that are associated with Pokemon ranging from Pokemon stickers, to Pokemon handhelds. It will definitely be a mega store. There will be a giant Big Screen Mega Pokedex with a control pad that will display information to customers about all 251 Pokemon Characters. Almost 40% of the store's merchandise will be available on the store's website,
Pokemoncenter.com
Be sure to check out this huge store sometime, if you can. It seems like it is an attempt to keep Pokemon alive. Thank you.

Tune in to Cartoon Network tonight at 7:30pm EST/PST to watch the debut of Pokemon on Cartoon Cartoon Friday. I'm not sure what episode they will be showing, so you might want to check it out. This might have something to do with "Kid's WB" showing "Toonami".

Pokemon Mini- Sunday, September 2, 2001
|
Yesterday on September 1, 2001, in London, England, Nintendo showed off many new nintendo products at the Nintendo Show. One of which included a new handheld device called "Pokemon Mini". It is a handheld game similar to Pocket Pikachu. It's the same as Pocket Pikachu except for the new features in it. It has a clock, and different games for it. It uses cartridges. Only 4 games for Pokemon Mini were shown at the Nintendo Show:
Pokemon Pinball: This will be very similar to its Game Boy counterpart with the same name. There are 90 different stages in the game, plenty of ground to try to complete your Pokedex.
Pokemon Zany Cards: This card game isn't like the TCG. It's more like solitaire, however you get to play against Pokemon opponents.
Pokemon Party Mini: This party game is all about action. It utilizes Pokémon Mini's shock sensor which can tell when you move the system. For instance, in one game you play in a boxing ring as Hitmonchan. In order to win, you have to shake the unit vigorously in a short amount of time.
Pokemon Puzzle Collection: This game has a collection of over 80 types of puzzles that will probably give your mind a good work out.
Pokémon Mini will be launching in Europe in Spring 2002. No release dates have been announced for anywhere else, including Japan, North America, and Australia.
UK Nside has also gathered some specs on Pokemon Mini. The unit is 74mm (about 3 inches) high, 58mm (about 2 inches) wide, and 23mm (about 1 inch) in depth. It also weighs 70 grams. A bit larger than the Pokemon Pocket games, but as you have read, it definitely has more features than the Pockets.
