September 21, 02
such words did you once mince at me, my fading prince
the talk of the town now finally weighed down by his crown
and i know how you dread it slipping off your head.
many times since I have remained unconvinced
by your pleas and frowns and new ball gowns
I would have rather bled than spend another night in your bed.
no longer will you feed me quinces and call me your princess
or take me to town and praise my eyes deep brown
never again will you tread on my thoughts left unsaid.
