ADB
The Starmax has an ADB port like any Mac. It seems to
have trouble with more than about four devices, though.
I really wanted to have an Adjustable/Ergonomic keyboard,
mouse, trackball, joystick, and glidepoint, but it just
wouldn't work. My Starmax refused to identify one or
two of the devices at each startup, and it wasn't always
the same ones.
PS/2
One common complaint about the Mac is the lack of two-button
mice. Even with the new USB Macs, Apple still doesn't have
a two-button mouse. Well, two button PS/2 mice are very
common, and the Starmax can use them. I used
TheMouse2B
to control the second button. Works fine in the finder, but
not in Unreal. Oddly, TM2B does make the second
button of a Kensington TurboMouse function properly
in Unreal. Which is fine, because I prefer the trackball
for that sort of game anyway.
