PIZZA DRIVERS: Are you an employee or independent contractor? How do you find out? What difference will it make to your income? The pizza delivery business is in a state of confusion over this important question. We have found there is a great deal of confusion among drivers, franchisee owners, and corporate human resource managers as to the definition of employee and independent contractor. This website was established to explore the legal differences for drivers who believe they should be classified as employees, and what drivers can do.
We are not lawyers. We are two pizza delivery drivers in Ottawa who were fed up with our “take home pay” being depleted to a point it became not worth delivering any more.
