There is an interesting story about AWE ad posters featuring characters from Pirates being stolen at an alarming rate. Read about it here. Pirates 3 the End...sort of Australia's Herald Sun recently did an interview with Jerry Bruckheimer and Gore Verbinski in which they claimed AWE will be the final film in the trilogy, however, they discussed possibly doing a type of spinoff with one of the charaters, or even a new set of characters. According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Pirates 3 is still yet to be finished and with that the cost is rising to get it done. Disney Execs claim the film will be finished by May 25 for its worldwide release. Keith Richards won't be promoting Pirates 3 too much After revealing to NME in an interview, that he once snorted his dead fathers ashes with cocain, Disney has gone on to say that Keith Richards will not be promoting the new Pirates movie too much in fear that it may affect the film somehow. Richards plays Jack Sparrows father in the third installment. -update: Keith has now gone on to say he was joking, and that he did not actually do what he said he did. Premiere of Pirates 3 The Disneyland Resort website has announced that Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At World's End, will be premiering at Disneyland on May 19, 2007. The movie will be shown on a screen that will be constructed on Tom Sawyer Island, which has been closed for refurbishment. The audience will be seated on a stage currently being constructed at the Rivers of America water front. Guests who are planning to attend the premiere that day, or even just the park in general, should be prepared. Park hours will be 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and areas such as Adventureland, Frontierland, Critter County, and New Orleans Square will be closing around 3:00p.m. to allow for setup. Parade schedules and guided tours will also most likely be affected that day. Official Pictures Released from Disney 2 official pictures have been released by Disney, the first is an awesome picture of Barbossa, Elizabeth & Jack walking toward the shot (wheres Will?) and the second is the first official picture of Captain Sao Feng with Barbossa and Jack along with what appears to be Fengs crew. POTC 3 Script I have been getting numerous e-mails about the POTC 3 script which I had posted, being unavailable, here is why, it seems everytime I post it, in a matter of hours 3/4's of the script gets deleted, I just checked it as I was about to post the link, however, once again, it was gone! I am clueless as to how this is happening but it is. Even when I create a whole new page and put up the script, it disappears. I just wanted to let everyone know this, before I get more e-mails to have it posted. I can't get it up. I will try to in a month or so and maybe it will stay. Rumors are flying around the web that Kira Knightley does not have a desire to continue with the Pirates of The Caribbean series after filming wraps on Pirates of The Caribbean: At World's End. Last Friday Keiraweb.com announced that Ms. Knightley said "I've been playing this girl since I was 17. I'm 21 now and I'm onto very different things, but it's fun to try to invest Elizabeth with some rebellious spirit." However, Pirates of The Caribean Series Script writers, Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio, have disputed this claim saying Ms. Knightley has made no such claims and does plan to be involved in future Pirate films. Pirates Shoot in Niagara Falls Pirates of the Caribbean 3 filmmakers shot some scenes in Niagara Falls, However it is reported that no stars were to be found, perhaps they will super-impose the Falls into the movie. For several days now rumors have been swirling around the internet about Orlando Bloom's future with the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. Simply put, several different sources were reporting that in the next movie he'd be killed off to save money. Those rumors were completely untrue. Reps with Disney have confirmed to us that while they cannot comment on specific plot points of future movies, they can tell us that the rumors of Will Turner's death are completely unfounded. As of right now, Disney plans to have Bloom's character in any and all future Pirates films. That means if they make a fourth one, they plan to have him in it. It also means that they aren't going to kill him off. Of course they killed Jack Sparrow off in the last one, so I suppose even if they do kill the character it's no great obstacle. They'll still find a way to fit him in. Hold off on the hysteria Will Turner fans, he has a long future with Pirates of the Caribbean. Producer says Pirates 3 well underway USA Today reports that producer Jerry Bruckheimer says that the third film in the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy, At World's End, is "progressing nicely" eight months away from its scheduled release date. "We shot a lot of Chow Yun-Fat's stuff already, and we should finish the principal actors by the beginning of November, so we are quite a ways into it". At World's End is slated for a Memorial Day 2007 opening Keith Richards Films Part; "wobbly" A not terribly sober Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones has filmed his cameo as Johnny Depp�s swashbuckling dad in "Pirates of the Caribbean 3," which is shooting somewhere in Southern California in a place called Palmdale. a good story about Richards from gifted Brit actor Bill Nighy about when Richards came for his big Hollywood moment... Richards, no stranger to substances and liquids, was left to his own devices in his trailer before his big scene. That wasn�t a good idea. When the time came to shoot, he was a bit �wobbly.� To keep him straight, director Gore Verbinski held Richards by the shins! �You�ve got to keep straight,� Verbinski told him. �If you�d wanted straight, then you got the wrong man,� Richards replied huskily. Richards� pirate costume, sources say, closely resembles Depp�s, with a different colored bandana. The two had such a good time together that Depp kept a souvenir from Richards� short visit: a set of stairs built for Richards to get in and out of his trailer, which he signed to Depp with the salutation, �A step too far.� Pirates 3 Not Quite the End Disney heads have revealed that though the third �Pirates� film will conclude the trilogy, it is �unlikely� that it will be the last sequel of the mega-hit movie. Mark Zoradi, president of the Disney Motion Pictures Group said that the eagerly awaited third movie may not be the last Pirates film. "The third film... will conclude the initial Pirates trilogy, though it is unlikely to be the last Pirates sequel," the Daily Mail quoted him, as saying. With the second movie in the series, Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest, becoming the third film to passing the 1 billion dollar mark at the worldwide box office, bosses have decided to globally release the third and final flick in the series on 25 May 2007, rather than a gradual worldwide release. Global Release of Pirates 3 According to Screen International, Disney has revealed that the second "Pirates" sequel, "Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End," will have a global day-and-date release next summer. "We're going to open on the weekend of May 25 in every country around the world," said Walt Disney Motion Pictures Group president Mark Zoradi. "It will be our widest release ever and it will be the first time that our company has done a literal day-and-date release," Zoradi added. The first sequel, "Dead Man's Chest," became the third film ever after "Titanic" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King" to gross more than $1 billion worldwide. Official Title Revealed After much speculation about the final subtitle title being "World's End" or "At World's End", The Official name has been revealed as "Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At Worlds End" (without the apostrophe) Set Pictures Some Pictures were discoved that supposedly show scenes from the shooting of POTC 3, They feature Jack Sparrow and Barbossa together as well as some other cast members setting up for and shooting scenes. This claims to be the plot/synopsis for Pirates of the Caribbean 3 that has been circulating the web: It is expected that the next film will involve Will Turner and Elizabeth Swann joining forces with their old enemy, Barbossa, to rescue Captain Jack Sparrow and Bootstrap Bill Turner and defeat the alliance between Davy Jones, Cutler Beckett, and new villain Sao Feng. Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, and Barbossa traveling to the Orient and confronting Captain Sao Feng in search of charts that lead to "World's End". Feng is captain of the red-sailed pirate ship Empress, and hosts a mysterious "dragon lady" onboard his ship. Another element of the ride is represented in this version of the script, when Will, Barbossa and their crew sails their ship; an oriental junk named Hai Peng; off the "end of the world" a huge, straight drop in the middle of the ocean, mimicking the large drops found on the Pirates of the Caribbean theme park attraction. Take it for what you will Pirates Footage Revealed With Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest about to take the top box office spot for a third weekend in a row, Walt Disney Pictures unveiled the first footage from the third installment at the San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday. While it was previously believed to carry the subtitle "At World's End," those words were not included in the presentation and we're expecting you'll be hearing a new subtitle soon. (Spoilers ahead!) The footage was about two minutes long and included brief interviews with producer Jerry Bruckheimer and Orlando Bloom. Chow Yun-Fat's character had many speaking lines in the clip, which featured lots of Singapore floating village shots, a rescue Captain Jack Sparrow scene, a scene where Sparrow has to convince the crew to run back and forth on the shipdeck to rock a ship over, Jack the undead monkey in Chinese Warrior armor, shots of Barbossa and Sparrow amid a huge shipboard sword battle, and a swordfight between Sparrow and Davy Jones atop a crows nest in a giant storm. The teaser poster for the third film was at the event as well. Pirates of the Caribbean 3 hits theaters on May 25, 2007. "At World's End"? A Disney rep told IGN FilmForce that "At World's End" is NOT THE TITLE of the third film and that these early reports are false. Disney says that a title to the third film will surface in the next few months. Rolling Stone Confirmed The Rolling Stone's Keith Richards is set to play the role of Jack Sparrows father.
