These boys have been best friends their hole lives. Jerone has had a life time dream to sing in front of large crowds to girls and shared this dream with CJ. CJ and Jerone got into the idea of being in a boy band after having a craving to perform in front of fans. After some time, they got Ian into it since he is one of their best friends. Then, Justin was invited into the group as well since he was their other best friend. They all performed and practiced 98 degrees songs and wanted to get the style of singing as 98 degrees and 1TYM, their "idols". When they got together a lot of times, They all suddenly clicked as their voices blended in beautifully. From this point on PINOYPop will do what they can to become at the level they want. . PINOYPop chose "PINOYPop" as their group name because the word "Pinoy" is a Filipino boy and "pop" is the style of music they sing. So when you add these two words together you get "PINOYPop". PINOYPop's main purpose of coming together was because they noticed that no Asian singers has made it far in the U.S. PINOYPop wants to be the first Asian boy group to make it far on MTV and all over the US. Part of PINOYPop's plan is to donate 1/5 of the money they make to "Feed the children" funds around ASIA. PINOYPop wants to at least have a music video voted and showed on TRL, a popular MTV show where people all over the U.S. vote for their favorite music video and only the top 10 will be shown on TRL.
