Thank you to HTML Palace; they helped me with the basics such as backgrounds/links and changing fonts. A very good site for beginners.
Thanks to Dodo tutorialsthe tutorials that this site contains are very good, just copy and paste and you're done! Recently I used this to make the pop-up window.
Thanks to Mish @ Greedy Animal [dot] com, there are great tutorials and codes you can just copy straight to your editor! Doesn't really explain the basics - it's more for making your site look beautiful :) And it has some handy tips too!
Thank you also to Jess @ SodaPoP for the brushes that I use often on different layouts. This is a great site - all for you! There are graphics, layouts, fonts, brushes and so much more! I recommend you visit this site if you're not too familiar with psp or another paint programme because there are great tutorials on how you can change a boring image into a fab one!
All of these sites have really helped me - especially when it comes to making your links look pretty and starting to work out which kind of layouts you like. I started using HTML with my UJ so I didn't do much but it gives you a little bit of an idea. These sites are great once you've got your site up and running and just want to add cute bits to it though!
