| The Map above shows the cold highland lands of Norsca, home to many tribal houses of Norscan Maruaders. Its mountainous lands are filled with dark pine forests, peat bog tarns and fertile glens hidden amongst the heather and braken hills. Some of the highest mountains in the old world are found here, dwarfing those of the worlds edge mountains to the south east, and this makes the land very hard to colonise and invade. In the past armies from the Empire and Bretonnia have marched northward to invade, but few survivors have ever returned to tell the tale of battle-worn ferocious highland Norse warriors fighting over glen through dark woods and amongst mountain scree paths with their huge iron battle axes and broadswords screaming their chaotic war cries. Yet this wild land is not only home to the Norsemen, for the dark woods hide many secrets of civilisations long lost and monstrous creatures that have been tainted from the touch of chaos close to the north. Surrounding this land are the dreaded sea of Claws, Sea of Chaos, Kraken Sea and Frozen Sea which are infested with the corrupted fleets of chaos, and only a few fortress outposts like Marienburg in the Empire and Kraka Drak of the Dwarfs guard this land and its seas, joining forces with the armies of Kislev in times of war to stem the tide of Nosemen chaos followers pouring out of cold Norsca in dark days. | During the role play, you and your retinue may travel through Norsca using its 'Houses', which are in effect well fortified and garrisoned towns as cities for the purposes of hiring swords in the role play. Of course the chill lands of Norsca are heavilly inhabited by many monstrous creatures and other lesser houses of Norscan tribes, so only the most powerful houses and the most significant landmarks have been marked on the map and their names displayed in the key below.
