| In addition to Religion, Reading is my other favorite subject, which I've been blessed to teach. In other words, I teach my two favorite subjects! Each Reading class interconnects in some way with the others I teach, while at the same time taking different material. Each class has its own textbook, of course, but even I would get bored just taking that all year. So I've made sure to supplement each course in its own way with different stories, plays, and other materials to liven things up and broaden the scope of what students read. I never consider any course of mine perfect, and know that each can be improved. But I think they're mostly pretty good. Students, especially in 7th and 8th grade, will remember certain units fondly! |
