of the [petaling st.: the movie] is
essentially categorized into 5 type-form:
"(pink?)
clouds"
These bightly-coloured,
transluscent objects, suspended from existing surrounding structure serve
as visual signifier of the KLFF. Installed at key nodes and linkages, these
sculptural forms act as a novelty that celebrate the moment of the event.
"movie-space"
These temporary pavilions
are placed at the "edges" of the Chinatown district. It's surface animated
by the glow of projected images, these pavilions act as information kiosks
that promote the events of the KLFF.
"mini-lith"
Enigmatic-looking "black-boxes"
accompany the above installations in ubiquitous manner. These ominous-present
objects are in fact input-output devices that generate the images for the
installations and at the same time, collect images from its surrounding.
open
space
Strips of contorted planes
form semi-enclosure around open spaces used to facilitate the outdoors
activity of the KLFF.
venue
The indoors activity of
the KLFF does not necessarily require new structures to facilitate them.
Existing buildings may also be incorporated in the programme (e.g. REX
Cinema). |
