Welcome to The Perrigo Papers

Meet Mr. Robert Bishop, the creator of The Perrigo Papers. Photo Caption states: Bob Bishop - 1982. Founder and Editory of THE PERRIGO PAPERS'. Bob hails from Brimley, Mich. He now lives in Florida.

Thank you Joel Perrigo for sending this to The Perrigo Project.

This area is dedicated to Mr. Robert Bishop, Editor of The Perrigo Papers. We would like to thank Mr. Bishop for the many years he tried to contact as many Perrigo researchers as possible, with the hopes of connecting all the Perrigo lines. He tried to collect as much Perrigo data and lineages he could to share with all.
The background created for this page and the ones to follow, were created from his Perrigo Papers in which Mr. Robert Bishop published and edited. In his work, you will note there are many different ways the surname was spelled through the years.
In the papers he edited, on many occasions he asks to be put in touch with more Perrigo researchers and asks
"Are you passing along the information in these memos?" and "New readers may have a copy of this and other memos by asking for one and providing a correct address with Zip." If you have copies of The Perrigo Papers and would like to share them with us, please contact me using the email address listed below. We would like to get them all listed on the web site.

In this area you will not just see The Perrigo Papers a Family Journal, but you will see the Perrigo Memorandum's. Because I am working with photo copies of photo copies, some of the text is faint, making it diffucult to scan. In such a case, I have transcribed the document. If the text reads correctly, I have just left the scanned image. Please be patient as some pages my load slower.

I believe my goal is much as it was Mr. Bishop's and all researchers concerned which is to put as many of us in touch with each other hoping that we can all make that connection. By transcribing his work, I hope to carry on his work, to the best of my ability. Although no one could or would be able to fill his shoes, his spirit still goes on. Between you and I, we might come close to his work and goal. I hope, with your coorporation, we will be able to some day finish what he has started.

In his many circulations he has given many thanks to the following for contributing data, photo's and resources in which he was able to edit and publish in The Perrigo Papers for all to see and share: Those individuals are: Joel F. Perrigo, Bryon S. Niemann, Gertrude Roda, Joann Hardin, Mrs. Lillian Hill, Ian Mackin, Ron S. Stuart, Paul B. Perrigo, Louise Perrigo Flook, Brad Perrigo, Lyle Donovan Perrigo, Gerald Perrigo, Scott Johnson, Jeanne Cady, Don MacNeil, Bessy Duffy, Janet DeLaney, Emma Lee Moerckel, Lawrence Perrigo, Judith McIlhoe, Barbara Shehan, Helena Perrigo Meek.
This list of names and contributors will certainly grow as more issues hopefully come my way to transcribe.

You will find in these lineages, all the sources listed in The Perrigo Papers, which will make it easy for you to obtain your personal copies of the complete sources. One thing for certain, they make for a very interesting stories and history lessons. (Please keep in mind that I did not do the research and do not have any other data than I have supplied to this site)

Please, sit back, grab your coffee, pop or tea and enjoy all the reading you are about to see, which Mr. Bishop so dedicated himself to. And when you go to bed this evening, include a thank you to Mr. Bishop, in your prayers. I wish I could have been one of the lucky one's who actually got to meet Mr. Bishop.

You will find in the following pages, lineages from The Perrigo Papers. I will list them by the year of their publication and editing by Mr. Bishop. This is a work in progress and will continue on as the data becomes available to me. The data which I have transcribed and or scanned has not been edited, altered and or changed in any way. They are as they appear in The Perrigo Papers.

***A very big thank you goes to Joel Perrigo, Pat Westmoreland, Michael Perrigo, Gary Raines & Steve Perrigo for sending us copies of their Perrigo Papers allowing us to share them with you. Won't you please send us yours so we can get all the issues on line?***

WANTED: Please share your lineages, old family photo's, homestead documents, letters, bible inscriptions and resources to further this project...
