SK8 HISTORY

Started rolling way back in 1993. Watched the firsts X games on TV, Arlo etc were stars.Liked very much to learn but no one influnced me to aggro. It was only when my cousin got his pair of recres that I managed to get my own recres from my parents. It was a Rollerblade, can't rem the model

Then in June2000, I met Kean online, and he pyschoed me to get a pair. Though never meeting Kean, I just went to GO sports and get my first pair of aggros, USD team Thrones.

Starting out was difficult and embarrassing. Went to 14 ( blk14, marine terrence) for the first time and felt awkward. Fortunately, Lucius and gang were there to give me a warm welcome. However, it took rather long to get used to the kerb, especially I only skate aggro a few times a month. My Soul ( a basic trick ) would come and go and was hugely frustrating.

The 'breakthrough' came in July 2001. I went all out to get my own rail done up. It took 4 long days to track down all the sources for the parts and get the welding done. The mission was huge and difficult. Nevertheless, I perserved and managed to get two rails done up in the end.

I began skating much more often, as the rails are very convenient. I would bring the rail outside my place and grind almost everyday. I'm pretty much a loner skater, usually with my gf ( recre ), I've no crew at the moment, a VCrew (varsity crew), coined by Raymond and Kean for NTU/NUS students is being set up.
I live in a terrace house and this is an alley between two rows of terraces. It provides good space for me to skate. Those fifty-fifty frames of the skates were really smooth.
I still go back to 14 once in a while ( as my gf stays in blk12, and she skates (recre) too )
A rather 'new' place recommended by a skate friend Willy. The aljunied kerb. Higher and is almost cracked-free, this is a great kerb!
