A failed attempt to capture lightning. Took more than 10 tries, but when I got a decent exposure, the clouds have moved in. This is even tougher then taking fireworks! (though I haven't tried taking fireworks, maybe NDP2003...

Kiasu to be one of the firsts to be on the NEL line. Went on the opening day on 20th June 2003. Shot taken from the front window of the train. Realised the relfection and covered up for subsequent shot, but subsequent shot turned out shaky.

An outing to Sentosa with Wenhui. Dropped by Sentosa Orchid Gardens to take some shots. G2 is still not a great camera for bokeh(background blur) or macro shots. The absolute aperture is just not big enough!

Tasha the cat that hangs around outside my house during evening times to ask for food at times. Trying to do some bokeh (background blur) efx but rather difficult to do even with a G2...

NDP2003. First NDP shooting. Took a v long time to reach pebble area. Set up tripod only at 8pm. V lucky to get a gd spot to shoot. Shots din turn out great, wished G2 has a cable release and a big/fast buffer/writing speed. One shooter to my right was just happily clicking the cable release on and off on and off... Had a nightmare walking out of Tg Rhu area. Took ages to walk to geylang, yes, Geylang, with wenhui, as there were no buses that i could take, other buses were full, and no cabs would stop. Really underestimated the crowd. Learnt quite a lot about shooting though : )
