Birds, with their mobility, grace and beauty, are a constant symbol of freedom.   Watching them, we begin to understand that we are governed by the same laws of nature.  We begin to fathom our frightening power over other living beings.  A larger philosophy is born when we comprehend that misuse of this power may decide not only the fate of other life, but of our own as well.
