Q: Do I have to be a certain age to ride?
A: This event is for all ages, fitness levels, and animal lovers! The only concern for small children is that the rides are on open roads; parents may want to accompany inexperienced riders (and apply separately).

Q: What exactly is the money going towards?
A: Pedal for Pets aims to raise $1500.00 for a program at LCARA called "Adopt a Kennel." Half of that money will go directly to local vets that receive animals in need of emergency medical care and who do not have owners to pay for that medical care. The other half will go toward the creation of spay and neuter coupons that go back into public circulation and promote the responsible treatment and ownership of pets. If there are additional profits, they will benefit the shelter in other ways. Examples may include the purchase of pet food or toys or other supplies.

Q: Are checks to the event tax deductible?
A: Unfortunately, donations less than $75 are not tax deductible. If you are making a donation of more than $75, please contact the event coordinator at [email protected] for information on the specific process.

Q: How can my business sponsor?
A: Any business can contribute any financial amount, prizes for give-away at the event, or food.

Q: I want to help, but I cannot ride. What can I do?
A: The event needs volunteer help! There are various opportunities. See the VOLUNTEER page.

Q: Will there be parking at the event? Will it cost anything?
A: Parking will be available at Churchill High School and it will be free.

Q: Will there be any designated places to stop and take breaks?
A: At least one place has been designated as a rest stop on the 45-mile route.  Other stopping points on the other routes are being planned, and there will likely be many designated places to stop and rest.
