Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Emerald green scales trace the edge of his face and the sides of his neck down to the collar bone. A larger set of scales trail down either side of his neck in two rows, merging near the base and continuing down his spine, where they meet a long, flexible, crocodilian tail (1.25m). Smaller scales line the back of his legs, and wrap fully around mid-shin. From above the ankles, his feet are fully scaled and clawed like a Komodo dragon. There is a hint of scaling on his knees and elbows, his knuckles, and around the tough black nails of his hands. The scales are tough and strong, like the armor of an alligator. What skin is not covered in scales is a light tan. Long, soft, mane-like fur sprouts between the lines of scales and falls to his knees. His eyes are reflective in direct light, and powerful receptors for night vision. He has snake-like fangs and poison glands which are retractable; his hand claws are partially retractable and when necessary, he can lift his hind claws and walk on the balls of his feet. His tongue--when tensed--becomes forked and can snap out like a frog; he can also pick up scents with his tongue. He can run at a top speed of 35 mph, has incredible constrictor strength, and can swim as fast as he can run, able to hold his breath for several hours. Despite the past 5 years of captivity, Aidan is friendly, understanding, contemplative and peaceful, although he struggles with an overprotective streak and can become viciously jealous and suspicious. There is also a violent rage hidden within as a result of his captivity, which is rarely seen. When it is stoked, however, his features grow even more reptilian, and he becomes as terrible a killer as any predator, living or extinct.
Origins: Aidan was born the Vladamar heir, a very prestigious Russian family that migrated to the former West Coast after the apocalypse. Aidan's mother was a carrier of a recessive mutated gene, and though he appeared normal at birth, he began showing reptilian features and mannerisms at age 8. Fearful of their freakish child, the Vladamars dropped him outside of the walled city, leaving him to the wilderness. Having shut out the first years of his life, Aidan remembers little of his natural parents or his life prior to his abandonment, the oldest memory being of his few days near the rubbish piles of the walled city. There, he met Tarla, a cat-like woman, as she was rummaging through the trash piles. Tarla adopted the young reptile, and brought him to live with her in a desert village, where many other mutants (known derogatorily as "freaks") hid from the rest of humanity. Aidan's life was quiet until, when he was 18, he was ambushed while hunting and thrown in a cage. He has lived in said cage for the past several years, being a star attraction in Mikaili's freak show.

Other distinguishing characteristics: bald, pale coppery skin with blue markings, pointed ears, tail, claws, animalistic legs with cloven hooves and two clawed toes, two small horns from near the temples, a brand on the upper left side of her chest (just below the collar bone) "S. P. Q. R." and beneath those four letters, "7630-XIV-842" Company initials and serial number. She also has a sphinx (the company's logo) tattooed on her right hip. A combination of cybertronic implants and nanotechnology were used to make her stronger and faster as well as to heighten her senses. She can lift twice her weight, run at 20 mph for hours without tiring, jump 30 feet straight up into the air or, with a running start, leap a maximum of 50 feet. Her eyes shift colors depending on various conditions, including her mood. Anouk has naturally high regenerative abilities which, combined with the self-repairing nanotechnology, make her able to heal from virtually any injury. She is armed with a knife and a slingshot.
Origins: Anouk is an Ovid demon, bred in the laboratories of Sphinx Paradox Quality Robotics for use in experimental performance enhancement procedures. All of the demons at the lab had a part in her upbringing, she was never certain which were her biological parents. The cruel nature of some of the experiments has made her very distrusting of normals, particularly men.

Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Daren has pale, almost pure white skin that reflects light like metal. In direct light, his skin has an unmistakable platinum sheen--which has led to many accusations that he is an android. His features are thin and sharp, betraying a false sense of his true strength. He wears a large-brimmed hat, torso body armor, knee-high boots, arm and leg guards, fingerless gloves, covered by a long duster, all black. A slim wakizashi-style short sword rests at his hip, and a no-dachi (1.9m long) is strapped to his back. A strange, eerie sensation surrounds him at night, causing anywhere from uneasiness to downright terror to anyone around him. He rarely speaks to anyone unless he finds it absolutely necessary, and when he does, no more than three syllables at a time. His voice is dark, deep, forebodingly seductive and frighteningly strong. He melts into shadows with supernatural ease, and can flicker out of sight in an instant. Daren is very good at his work and he knows it, holding his reputation before his safety. He is a fast, dangerous killer, dispatching his victims with finesse and unrivaled calm, and has never failed a contract.
Origins: Daren was born a bastard, in both implications of the term. His mother lived in one of the walled cities near the former Atlantic coast and, once he found out she was pregnant, was abandoned by his father; he never knew the son of a bitch. Daren's mother supported him through her serving position for a very well-to-do family until he was 15, when her employers fired her on an illegitimate theft charge. Her only livelihood destroyed, his mother fell into a serious depression which slowly took over every aspect of her life; in a year, she couldn't recognize her own son. Daren found an institute to take care of her and began working on his own to support her, starting with odd jobs, then as his presence had begun to unsettle people for one reason or another—he began stealing. Stealing turned to hired muscle and, when he was 18, assassination. Soon after his induction into the assassin's guild, his mother passed away. He packed up and left the city, choosing the ronin life.

Other Distinguishing Characteristics: Geroue is human in form, with a malleable hide of crystalline blue scales covering his entire body. His finger and toe nails are a dark indigo and are also flexible, his hair is shiny like fiber- optic cables. All this allows him to reflect light, creating illusions to cover his true appearance, and even to disappear. His hide can also form spike- like protrusions, splay from his sides like a flying squirrel, and shoot the scales from his body like porcupine quills. Because the outer layers wear out after several weeks, he is prone to shed; the removed skin is incredibly light and brittle, and is consumed by him after shedding. Geroue has the inate ability to float several inches from the ground, and utilizing his malleable hide, can climb up any surface like a spider. His triple-pupiled eyes change color at will when the inner and outer pupils are closed; the inner pupils can pick up infared waves, the outer can pick up ultraviolet. When all three pupils are open, a "third eye"--a membraned slit in his forehead--spreads, and if his gaze is locked with another, Geroue is capable of invading the mind, regardless of creature, ability, or willpower; once inside, he may do or see whatever he wishes, and has complete control over his victim.
Origins: Shieka'geroue is a Lupid demon, the dominant race of demons in his world. When he was old enough to think, Geroue was causing immeasurable trouble to his family, his clan, and not soon after, his entire race. Considered a chaotic threat to his kind, he was banished from their world, forced to leave through a portal used by the Ovid demons to escape the oppression of the Lupids. He has searched ever since for the Ovids in an attempt to reopen the portal and return to his own kind.
