BS 7000-5: 2000 – Design management system

It gives guidance for establishing a framework for obsolescence management and for planning a cost-effective obsolescence management process that is applicable through all phases of the product life cycle. It is applicable to all products that include electronic, electrical and Electro-mechanical components, although its use can be extended to include other products and processes.

BS 7373-2: 2001 – Managing Product Specification

This standard provides guidance on identifying criteria for the preparation of product specifications, which are essential when developing a new product or process.
