There are numerous trails in and around the campgrounds. This one is part of the Brandybrook Flow trail. It is 3.5 miles from route 3 to the edge of the flow. The trail is fairly flat and easy, although it crosses the edge of the Bear Mountain Swamp and so many parts are very muddy. The trail is part of the Burntbridge pond loop which is 19.5 miles total. That trail can be backpacked and camped over a few days. You can also mountain bike it. The trail is also accesible in the winter as a snowmobile trail.

This is the end of the Brandybrook flow, which is one of the feeders to the lake. There are also remote primative campsites along the flow, closer to the lake, reachable either by boat or by hiking in.

This is the view near the top of Bear Mountain. The trail is approximatesly 1 mile from the trail head in the campgrounds near the entrance. It continues another 1 1/2 miles to end in loop 4 of the campgrounds. The trail is somewhat strenuous.

This is the trail's end on a beach at the cove at the very end of the campground. I call this photograph the end of the world.

The Boardwalk Trail originates from the begining of the Bear Mountain Trail. It crosses a wide variety of terrain, including the flow at the head of the Bear Mountain Swamp, shown here.. It is a recently built trail that is approximately 2 miles in length, ending at the Brandybrook Trail. The trail is well marked and there is a guidebook with some 40 numbered locations. The trail is relatively flat, but can be quite muddy.
