The river is stocked with trout. All I ever caught were sun fish and rock bass too small to make a meal.
However, on the last day of fishing, Bill caught THE FISH!
The Brown Trout was 17 inches long and weighed 1 3/4 pounds. He was also delicious!
He made a wonderful meal for the last dinner of our stay - panfried, with potatoes, baked apples and homemade cornbread.

This is the dam on the Oswagatchie  River that form the present size of Cranberry Lake. Bill was fishing off the rocks to the right when he caught that trout.
This is Bill's page.  When he goes on vacation, or even when he has some spare time, he likes to fish. That's OK with me - he doesn't care if I just sit and read. He's so enthusiastic about the sport that I offered to try it this year. Believe me, I'm better at taking pictures of his fish than I am at actually catching them myself!
