Projects of the Muslim Association of Bradford

The MAB currently has three projects which are fully operational, two of which, the Mosque and Feversham College have already been mentioned. The third project is the Elderly Day Care Centre (EDCC). The establishment of the EDCC became crucial in order to fulfill the growing need for cultural, social and recreational activities to the local ageing Muslim community. It was established to primarily cater for the needs of the older generation of the Bradford Muslim community.

The EDCC receives funding from the Local Council as well as from other various Charitable and Non-Charitable organisations. The facilities provided include advice on a wide range of issues, counseling on family matters, organising recreational activities, literature for reading and a Health and Fitness Centre funded by the Local Council. The EDCC is managed and run in partnership with the local Muslim Community and has established excellent engagement with the older generation.
