Mission Statement - adopted 1992
Park Central Presbyterian Church is a Christ-centered church located in the heart of Syracuse, New York, a few blocks from Syracuse University. Founded in 1847, the church has always endeavored to preach the Good News of the Gospel. Located on the corner of Fayette and Townsend Streets, across from Fayette Park in an historic red brick building built in 1875, the congregation of Park Central Church continues to take the active role of "Faith in the City."
Sunday services begin at 10:30am during the regular year and at 9:30am during July and August. Communion is held once a month. The Church Office can be called for specific dates.
Services are led by The Rev. Dr. Kathleen Ann Waters. Lay leaders assist Dr. Waters with worship. Music is provided by the Kirk Choir under the direction of Dr. Julie Pretzat, Professor of Music at the State University of New York at Oswego, with services at the organ provided by Will Headlee, Professor Emeritus of Syracuse University.
By coming together and glorifying God, we all become spiritually nurtured, strengthened, and centered.
Members of Park Central Presbyterian Church place a high priority on studying The Bible. Every Sunday morning lessons are read from The Bible and a sermon is delivered based on those lessons.
