Benedictine to Host Relay for Life in April

The evening will begin with an introduction for each of the committee members who organized the event as well as a speaker who has survived cancer. Then, the first lap of the night is walked by all cancer survivors in attendance followed by a "caregiver" lap where the people who take care of cancer patients will walk a lap. Later in the evening a ceremony will be held with luminary bags where those who have passed, battled or survived cancer are remembered. The rest of the evening will turn into a party atmosphere with different games, activities and bands playing throughout the night. Also at the event, brochures and other forms of information are handed out on the different types of cancer and preventive measures you can take.
