The hot sun beats down on the hard, cracked ground. The smell of the fresh cut lawn drifts through the dry air. The laughter of children playing dances up toward the clear blue sky. The sweat beads upon her body as she watches her boys play. The hot pavement scalds her shoeless feet, so she quickly jerks them to her soft colorful towel. This is her favorite thing to do on a long summer day, and she smiles as the cool drops of water fall upon her smooth tan skin.
