

Starters
Magic users start with the Zap spell, thieves start with a lockpick, and fighters
start with a sword and shield. If you are playing a different character type
or have some extra skills, you may not be able to obtain them, and in some
cases you will have to buy those items. Let's start! You enter the town of
Spielburg. Always ask every question possible from every person. So, talk
to the Sheriff. He's send you over to the Adventurer's Guild. If you're a
thief, set the speed on the game up and sneak everywhere until your sneaking
ability is at 100. Head all the way west until you reach the guild. Once inside,
read the bulletin board, read the log book, then sign it. Talk to Schultz.
Next, if you have magic ablilities, visit the Magic Shop that is on the same
screen as the Adventurer's Guild. After speaking with Zara, buy the Open Spell.
Come back at any time to buy the other spells, Fire Dart and Fetch. Go east
then north. Talk to Heidi and buy five orders of apples. Enter the dry goods
store. You can buy daggers, chain mail (later when you have money), flasks,
and rations here. Buy three flasks, and if you have throwing skill buy as
many daggers as possible. You won't need to buy rations. Go west and into
the alley. Talk to Sam and give him some money. Enter the tavern to the west.
Grab the note on the floor next to the middle stool. There will be more notes
every few days, so keep an eye out for them. Order an ale if you like, but
no more than two if you value your money.
Outside of town
Go outside town, go east until you hit the dead end, then head back towards
town. Do this until you see a fox in a trap. Help him out and he'll give you
a hint. Go two screens east of the town gates, one north, one east. Talk to
Brauggi, and give him the apples you bought from Heidi. Go back to town.
