The Lord's Prayer
Our Father, who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy Kingdom come,
Thy will be done,
On earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who have trespassed against us.
And lead us not into temptation
But deliver us from evil.
Amen
Pater noster, qui es in caelis:
Sanctificetur nomen tuum;
Advenitat regnum tuum;
Fiat voluntas tua, sicut in caelo, et in terra.
Panem nostrum cotidianum da nobis hodie;
Et dimitte nobis debita nostra,
Sicut et nos dimittimus debitoribus nostris;
Et ne nos inducas in tentationem;
Sed lebera nos a malo.
Amen.
The Niceno-Constantinopolitan Creed
We believe in one God,
The Father, the Almighty,
Maker of heaven and earth,
Of all that is seen and unseen.
We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ,
The only son of God,
Eternally begotten of the Father,
God from God, Light from Light,
True God from true God,
Begotten, not made, one in being with the Father.
Through Him all things were made.
For us men and for our salvation
He came down from heaven:
By the power of the Holy Spirit
He was born of the Virgin Mary,
And became man.
For our sake He was crucified under Pontius Pilate;
He suffered, died and was, buried.
On the third day He rose again
In fulfillment of the Scriptures;
He ascended into heaven
And is seated at the right hand of the Father.
He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead,
And Hid kingdom will have no end.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life,
Who proceeds from the Father and the Son.
With the Father and the Son He is worshipped and glorified.
He has spoken through the prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church.
We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead,
And the life of the world to come.
Amen.
Credo in unum Deum,
Patrem omnipotentem, factorem caeli et terrae,
Visibilium omnium et invisibilium.
Et in unum Dominum Iesum Christum,
Filium Dei unigenitum,
Crucifixus etiam pro nobis sub Pontio Pilato;
Confiteor unum baptisma in remisionem peccatorum.
Et exspecto resurrectionem mortuorum,
Et vitam venturi saeculi.
Amen.
The Greater Doxology
Glory to God in the highest,
And peace to his people on earth.
Lord God, heavenly King,
Almighty God and father,
We worship you, we give you thanks,
We praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son of the Father,
Lord God, Lamb of God,
You take away the sins of the world:
Have mercy on us;
You are seated at the right hand of the Father:
Receive our prayer.
For you alone are the Holy One,
You alone are the Lord.
You alone are the Most High,
Jesus Christ,
With the Holy Spirit,
In the glory of God the Father.
Amen.
Gloria in excelsis Deo
Et in terra pax hominibus bonae voluntatis.
Laudamus te,
Benedicimus te,
Adoramus te,
Glorificamus te,
Gratias agimus tibi propter magnam gloriam tuam,
Domine Deus, Rex caelestis,
Deus Pater omnipotens.
Domini Fili unigenite, Ieus Christe,
Domine Deus, Agnus Dei, Filius Patris,
Qui tollis peccata mundi, miserere nobis;
Qui tollis peccata mundi, suscipe deprecationem nostram.
Qui sedes ad dexteram Patris, misrerere nobis.
Quoniam to Solus sanctus, tu solus Dominus, tu solus Altissimus,
Iesu Christe, cum Sancto Spiritu, in gloria Dei Patris.
Amen
The Confetior
I confess to almighty God,
And to you, my brothers and sisters,
That I have sinned through my own fault
In my thoughts and in my words,
In what I have done, and in what I have failed to do.
And I ask blessed Mary, ever Virgin,
All the angles and saints,
And you, my brothers and sisters,
To pray for me to the Lord our God.
Amen.
Confiteor Deo omnipotenti et vobis, fratres,
Quia peccavi nimis
Cogitatione, verbo, opere et omissione:
Mea culpa, mea culpa, mea maxima culpa.
Ideo precor beatam Mariam semper Virginem,
Omnes Angelos et Sanctos,
Et vos, fratres, oroare pro me
As Dominum Deum nostram.
Amen.
An Act of Contrition
O my God, I am heartily sorry
For having offended thee.
And I detest all my sins
Because of thy just punishments,
But most of all because they have offended thee, my God,
Who art all good, and deserving of all my love.
I firmly resolve, with the help of thy grace,
To sin no more,
And to avoid the near occasions of sin.
Amen.
The Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
Pray for us sinners,
Now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary,
That never was it known
That anyone who fled to thy protection,
Implored thy help,
Or sought thy intercession, was left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence I fly to thee,
O Virgin of Virgins, my mother.
To thee I come, before thee I stand,
Sinful and sorrowful.
O mother of the Word Incarnate,
Despise not my petitions,
But in thy mercy hear and answer them.
Amen.
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, mother of mercy,
Our life, our sweetness, and our hope.
To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve,
To thee do we send up our sighs,
Mouring and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn, then, most gracious advocate,
Thine eyes of mercy towards us,
And after this our exile
Show us unto the blessecd fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Oh clement, oh loving, oh sweet Virgin Mary,
Pray for us, oh holy Mother of God
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Amen.
Prayer to Saint Michael
Saint Michael, the Archangel,
Defend us in battle
Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil.
May God rebuke him, we humble pray,
And do this, O prince of the heavenly host,
By the power of God,
Thrust into Hell Satan and all the evil spirits
Who prowl the world for the ruin of souls.
Amen.
