Today marks the 15 year anniversary of Tupacs death. I will mourn
you until I join you, 9.7.01 5 Years ago today, after leaving
the Mike Tyson - Bruce Seldon fight in Las Vegas in Suge Knight's
car, Tupac was shot four times in the chest by an assailant in
a white Cadillac. Tupac was rushed to University Medical Center,
where he underwent surgery, including the removal of his right
lung. There was a program about the top 10 male rappers on MTv
yesterday. And Tupac had the number one spot. During a recent
interview with a radio station, Snoop said that Tupac's mother,
Afeni Shakur contacted him about a possibility to release songs
that he and Tupac recorded together on the upcoming Tupac double
album. Yet to be released sond recorded by Tupac includes "Just
Watching," "Street Life" and "World Wide Dime Piece."

On August
27, 2001Afeni Shakur filed a lawsuit against Daz Dillinger & D.P.G.
Recordz in the U.S. District Court. Afeni claimes that D.P.G Recordz
do not have permission to release "Don't Go 2 Sleep" because all
of Tupac's recordings are owned by the Shakur Estate. The lawsuit
claims accounting, copyright and tradmark infringement, tradmark
dilution, unfair competition and unjust enrichment.

I'm pissed that Ja Rule will be releasing the song "So Much Pain"
on his upcoming album. "Pain", which was released on one version
of the Above the rim soundtrack is one of the best, and definitely
a classic Tupac track. What Ja Rule has done is "remix" the song,
by stealing the verses of the original "Pain" and changed the
wording slightly to fit hi, instead of Tupac. The beat and chorus
are nearly the same. Many rap fans are not going to know that
the song was originally Tupac's and are going to think Ja Rule
is tight. Since Tupac is in the third verse, they are going to
think that Tupac and Ja Rule were tight.

Yesterday, Ja Rule was on 106 And Park on Bet. He taled about
"So Much Pain" which is featured on his third LP, Pain is Love,
due out october 9. 2001. He gave shout outs to Afeni Shakur (Who's
name he fucked up) & Marion Suge Knight for hooking him up with
"So Much Pain"
