TESTIMONIAL'S
Comet Windmills
Catalogue No. 7
March 1926

'White Hill', Longreach, QLD.
March, 24, 1923.

The 18ft. Comet Windmill which you erected for me is working well and giving every satisfaction.
It is working 2 Syphon pumps at the same time. One of them is a 2inch and is pumping the water
over 2 miles of piping to the homestead for house and garden supply, 70ft. above the Mill.
The other one is a 4inch, it is pumping into a 20,000 gallon
supply tank near the mill for watering 10,000 sheep.
The Mill works easily in a light wind and gives all the water we require.
Many people who have seen this plant working have been surprised that
a Windmill is capable of pumping such a long distance.

'Strathelbiss', Selwyn, QLD.
May, 4, 1925.

During 1917 we decided to purchase one of the 3 best known Mills on the QLD market,
with the object of testing the quantities of same, and we now have come to the
conclusion that the Comet Windmill is the best mill on the market.
We now have 4 Comets and want to order two more 16ft. Mills with 40ft. Towers.
The Comets have not cost one penny in repairs, and are in far better order
than the other makes of mills, which have had easily 4 times as much attention
and continually need repairing and new parts.

'Kurrajong', Gladstone, Qld.
Nov, 23, 1921.

I purchased from your Firm in 1897, a 4inch Brass Deep Well Pump with 2inch piping.
The only repairs to this pump (except for leathers) has been to renew the short
length of rod in the plunger, the thread on the iron one became too corroded to
unscrew it, to replace the leathers of the plunger. The pump rods are still good,
in fact, the whole pump is in very good order, and should still last for many years.
24 years seems a long time for a pump in constant use, and speaks well for the building of it.

'Boanda', Mackinlay, QLD.
March, 28, 1925.

The 18ft. Comet Windmill on our property has been running constantly since 1916,
and has given great satisfaction. I have not yet had to even draw the pump up for servicing,
and have only had to put new tension bolts in on 2 occasions. Also the Comet Pumping Engines
supplied supplied by you are doing their work splendidly.
