Ok,
about me. I'm a 21 year-old college student. I split
my time between attending school full-time as an double major in Anthropology and Women's studies. On the weekends I'm also an international spy for Interpol... just kidding. But I absolutely am fascinated by
Anthropology, which is the study of humans and culture. My other passion
in academia would be Women's Studies, founded out of a political agenda
and dedicated to examine, theorize and possibly change the power
relations in which women are marginalized.
I attend Occidental College as a senior
in beautiful Southern California. I LOVE California!!! Being a native
Californian, I can't think of any other place I would rather be than
than in the sun, next to the mountains and the ocean. Some of my hobbies
include sleeping, sleeping and more sleeping. I just recently learned, web designing, which I will
go into more detail about later, spending long hours harassing my
friends and family.
This
summer I am a teaching assistant for the Occidental MSI program, which takes incoming frosh and put them through an intense course which combines both academic and social life. It's been absolutely crazy, but I love it at the same time, even though I am operating on little sleep and go all day nonstop.
My family consists of my mom, my 17 year-old sister Loreen and my dog
Holly. At school I have my wonderful unaffectionate turtle Donatello
(named after Donatello of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and of course
my two close friends Mel and Kate, who are more like sisters to me.
One of my close
friends Mel taught me to create my own web page using html. Check out her Ocean's
Page which was her first web site. Now I have moved onto the
lazy way of creating a page, using a cool program. I should also
mention that this creation is more for me than anyone else, maybe for my
friends so they can check out what's going on in my life.
