OUSA SOUTHERN ITALY AND ROME

There are currently over 200 students studying in Southern Italy and Rome, quite a few are taking or have taken the courses DD100, DU301 or DU310, or A840 and there are many, many MBA students.

The OUSA Rome and Southern Italy Branch Regeneration Meeting took place on November 12, 2005. The Branch has been re-activated and Justin Harris is the new Treasurer.

If you'd like to keep in touch with other OU students in the South of Italy and Rome, there are two conferences available for you on Firstclass:

  • OUSA Southern Italy which is an 'open' conference to which anyone can join; and

  • OUSA Br Rome, which is a branch conference, to which only Students in Southern Italy can have access ('closed' conference).

FINDING THESE CONFERENCES:

From your Student Home page or Firstclass Desktop click on:

OU > OUSA > OUSA Signpost > OUSA Southern Europe
> OUSA Br Rome

OU > OUSA > OUSA Live > OUSA Regions > OUSA Southern Europe > OUSA Br Rome

or

OU > OUSA > OUSA Signpost > OUSA Euroscope > OUSA Southern Italy

Because OUSA Br Rome is a 'closed' conference, you must  register for access.  To do this, send an email to 'OUSA Controller' from your Open University email address (your Firstclass account), include your personal identification number and ask to be given permissions to this group.   Make sure to mention which server (1, 2, or 3) you'd like access from and that you live in Southern Italy.

For OUSA Southern Italy, just start posting messages.

If you'd like to chat in Italian or about Italy in English, there is also a conference called OUSA Italian which can also be found under OUSA Signpost.

If you want to keep in contact with other students in Italy, feel free to join the OUSA NI yahoo group or even better, help regenerate OUSA Rome
If you'd like to post information about the OU in the South, or if you'd like to write something about your experiences with the OU or as an OU student, please feel free to put something together and email it to our webmaster.
