OUSA Conference

This year, I returned to the OUSA Conference, this time as an Observer for the Southern Europe Regional Forum. The Conference this year took place in Eastbourne at the well-used Conference Centre. The main hall was much larger than the hall at OU-campus in Milton Keynes so was much less intimate, but this did not make the conference any less lively.

I was remembered for my comments at OUSA Conference 2004 (in a good light I swear!) and hope that I represented Southern Europe well when defending or arguing against motions presented at conference. I also presented a policy amendment which was drafted to include the new EU member states into the OUSA constitution and unfortunately, I also withdrew several motions presented by OUSA NI - but these will be investigated this year by the OUSA NI committee, and if deemed fit, will be re-submitted with slight editing work for OUSA Conference 2006.

I won't be a student next year as I will finish my studies October of this year but as I have now moved to the West Midlands in the UK, I may just be able to come down to MK to visit.
