• What options are available in Jewish crisis facilities throughout the world?
• Are these modern methods a positive or welcome phenomenon?
• Are these modern methods a new trend or a passing fad?
• Are the causes for establishing these services always legitimate?
• Is it safe for any person in need to use their services?
• How can a person in need select the right crisis center from among the many available options?
• Do any people who have used the services of these centers sometimes get trapped? In what way?
• Do some centers cause people to do things unwittingly or against their will?
• After some children or adults use these services, do some centers use peer pressure to attract others?
• Are those who attend those centers ever brainwashed in a negative way?
• After using the services of these centers, do people necessarily leave with greater freedom, self-esteem, confidence, or control than before arriving?
• Are people who use these centers in more control of their lives as a result?

Those who offer services

• How do these facilities maintain contact with their clients?
• What are people's experiences with those facilities?
• What training should be expected of the caretakers or those who come in contact with children at risk?
• Are the field workers for these centers trained properly?
• Can those caretakers or field workers identify, diagnose, and deal with problems in a satisfactory manner?
• Is there a way to find out whether any individual caretaker does indeed have the requisite training; whether s/he has completed a preparatory course satisfactorily, and whether s/he has sufficient experience in relevant situations?

Those who care for children at risk

• Will some people face greater problems after leaving the centers? Are there ways to assure that the contact with the center will be worth the effort and anguish?
• When is it better to go to a private therapist rather than to use the services of these organizations?

The loved ones who are left behind

• How can a lay person determine whether the centers are treating them or their loved ones properly or correctly?

Those who have been treated by these services

• How can people find out about the activities of similar centers elsewhere?
• How is it possible to provide a non-threatening resource for those who are at risk?
• Who supervises and/or licenses these organizations?
• What are the credentials of the supervisors?
• Does any supervisory agency measure the success or failure of the organizations?
• Are facts and statistics about the organizations available to researchers?
• Are these facts and figures available to the general public?
• Can these facts and figures help lay people measure the success or failure of these centers?

Those who have been attracted by these crisis centers

• What should be done to assure that the centers do not attract those who should not necessarily be attracted?
• When cases of abuse have been detected, what should be done by people who may have been unwittingly or mistakenly trapped by the system?
• What should be done to handle cases of suspected abuse in the system?
