What is a Shandeh? A Shandeh (or a Boosha, from the Hebrew) is the Yiddish term for shame or embarrassment.

A Shandeh in this forum is thus a calamity, a terrible occurrence, or an awful and sometimes unspeakable tragedy.

Our discussions on Shandeh Forum relate to the effects of certain types of institutions, organizations, and misguided services.

Perhaps it would be best to think of this group as Parents at Risk or Families at Risk. We will try to maintain the integrity of these families, despite the issues that they face.
