There is a problem recommending a particular hechsher on the Internet - and it goes beyond the issue of personal standards. There is also an issue of lashon hara, which makes it difficult to state which hechshers are NOT acceptable.
The most we can possibly do on this Kosher Forum is to give links or references to known, reliable sources who give a public statement (or a psak) about any product.
Beyond that, we strongly recommend that everybody ask his/her own Rav.
To clarify: It is emphatically not the purpose of this Kosher Forum to decide which hechsher is good for you. Nor is it the purpose of this Kosher Forum to pass on information that somebody "heard" from any source whatsoever.
We can only post information about the level of a hechsher from a well-known Rabbinical authority who is willing to stand behind the statement in public, based on personal, first-hand knowledge and research into the issue.
Thus, we may post statements from subscribers who said that a certain hechsher is acceptable, but not that a particular hechsher is unacceptable.
On the other hand, I certainly wouldn't eat from a hechsher just because somebody on this Kosher forum said it's reliable, unless I was given convincing evidence of the statement.
I don't think you would eat from a hechsher on that basis either.
