Silent snow falls upon the earth.
A fresh beginning - a new birth.

Dark clouds present a menacing sight
Blocking out your beloved light
War now creates horrors over the land
Fought in the air, in the sea, and on the sand
Mothers' sons run off to join the battle
Brainwashed soldiers march ahead like cattle
Off to be butchered with the rest of the herds
In a war which had started over misunderstood words

I sit and watch
the procession go by
I see the young baby
grow as years fly
he becomes a young man
has children of his own
teaches them the lessons
of life he was shown
his face grows older
and his hair turns grey
he sits back and waits
for his final day
I kneel by his bed
and whisper in his ear
"I'll take away your pain,
Death takes away the fear."

All I need is you -
to hold you in my arms,
to feel you in bed at night,
to keep you safe from harm.
All I need is you -
your lips upon my face...
your hands upon my body...
taking me to another place.
All I need is you -
your whispers in my ear
and your gentle laugh
to coax away my fears.
All I need is you -
from now to eternity.
I'm just waiting for you to know
that all you need is me.

What do you do
when you can't return love?
Do you let it wash over
or give it a shove?
If you let it slide
it might just pass by.
But if you give in
you'd be living a lie.

When is it time that you've said enough?
When is it time to call your bluff?
You go about each day as if you don't care.
But when I look into your eyes, look deep and stare,
I don't find happiness, love or even hope.
All I see is a tortured soul trying to cope.

until my other personality

Dark oblivion haunts my days

The monsters that stalk my waking hours
Pale to those I battle at twilight
